In the mid-1990s pharmaceutical pre-marketing was in its
infancy. Medical-marketing budgets were rarely released
until the new product was either very near to launch or
in some cases had actually been launched!
The benefits of developing a sound pre-marketing strategy
and implementing a truly integrated pre-launch medical-marketing
communications program were not appreciated; pre-marketing
was an unfamiliar concept.

Today all this has changed; most healthcare companies do
conduct pre-marketing activities to support their new products,
some more than others.
Some agencies offer "pre-launch" services but
PHASE II was one of the first to position itself as a "pre-marketing
specialist". Offering 'full service' medical-marketing
support starting from the early stages of a product's development,
PHASE II has continued to remain ahead of the curve.

At launch in 1997, PHASE II was positioned as The Pre-Launch
Agency and several pharmaceutical companies were quick to
appreciate the PHASE II approach.
Since then our expertise in academically rigorous and creative
pre-marketing activities has become well established. In
2001 the corporate identity tagline was changed to reflect

and imagery to emphasize its positioning as a full service

dollar babies.
